When you’re done in ‘The Shire’, you can take a trip to Auckland for beautiful beaches, hiking trails, shopping, and trendy restaurants.

Mamma Mia – Greece

It’s very easy to fall in love with Greece after watching Mamma Mia. The movie was filmed on several Greek islands, including Skopelos, Skiathos, and Damouchari. If crystalline waters, whitewashed houses, charming villages and beautiful beaches sounds like your idea of paradise, then you’ll love the islands of Greece. Most of the movie was filmed on Kastani Beach a lovely sandy beach backed by a small grove of olive trees, and encircled by steep pine forested hills. It’s a great beach for swimming and snorkelling, but it can get a little crowded. If you’re looking for solitude, rent a motorboat from Panormos, and head north (all the way up the coast).

Most of the filming was done in  Kaneohe, Ka’a’wa, Wahiawa, Makapu’u and Waimanalo. Hawaii’s vibrant and colourful scenery will instantly charm travellers. Relax at one of the sun-drenched beaches with white waves and blue waters, visit Volcanoes National Park, or marvel at the grand beauty of Waipio Valley. Hawaii is great for family holidays with plenty of other attractions both kids and adults can enjoy including museums, aquariums and historical sites.
